A Grave Situation on the Border

When I first saw the Following Story, I thought that it might be too tragic for me to employ my normal brand of Terse and [admittedly] Sarcastic [and semi-humorous to humorous] Writing. It is a Story about a horrible Tragedy, that is being repeated far too often in the Northern States of Mexico -- and it is now spreading throughout Central America. The Drug Wars in Northern Mexico are, in my less than Humble, Arrogant, and Blustery Opinion, underrepresented among the Stories covered by United States and other Western Media. This recent Story, demonstrates the Brutality and Sad Reality that People in Border Regions have complained about for some time.

Juarez Mexico, a single City in Northern Mexico, recorded its 3,000th Drug Gang related Death for 2010 in December of that year. Doing a little Elementary School Math, that works out to an Average of 250 Deaths per Month. If any American City recorded that many Deaths in a Month, our Government would declare Martial Law. Since it has happened in Mexico, it barely triggers any alarms among our Political Leaders.

Someone reading these words might now say, "Hey Dufus, didn't you just post two Stories posted by a United States based Media Outlet?" True enough [Why did you call me a "Dufus"? That's rude!] These two stories that I have posted here, while offering brief views into the Violence, Corruption, and seeming Hopelessness associated with the Actions of these Mexican Drug Cartels, do not BEGIN to really Educate Americans about the Depth, and Urgency, of this Situation. Take a look at this Story from the Guardian UK:

This last Story begins to add a little Depth to the understanding the Situation. Banks are involved in Laundering Drug Money. Are any little Light Bulbs appearing over anyone's Head about now? [I hope so!] If the Banks are involved, who else might be involved? When large Sums of Money are moved around, at least in United States Banks, Bells and Whistles are supposed to go off, and the associated Transactions are supposed to be scrutinized for Illicit Activities. Something failed though. The Money flowed for a long time before ANYTHING was inspected. Was that just a fluke? Take a look again at Story above and note that $378.4 Billion that was going unchecked by Wachovia Bank from Mexican Currency Exchange Facilities. Places where Drug Money could easily be Laundered. A simple oversight?

Is the Money the real issue here? [Don't be dense! You know the answer to this one!] NO! The REAL ISSUE HERE IS . . . where was the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Eyes of our Legislators and President? Apparently, they were not focused on the activities of the Drug Cartels. For all of the Gassy and Long-On-Promises type Speeches made by President Obama, and others in our Government, little if anything has been done to stem the Activities of the Drug Cartels. While we sent Planes, Missiles, Rhetoric, and Bombs to Libya at the first sign of "Peril" to Libyan Citizens, tens of thousands of Mexicans Citizens, and [You didn't know this!] numerous Citizens of the United States are being killed by the Cartels.

We are only getting bits and pieces of Information about the Scope of the Issue on the United States side of the Border. If Drug Cartel Bosses are living in and among us in the United States, how have they escaped the Notice of our Federal Law Enforcement Agencies? [Hmm . . . This IS Baffling, no?] Take a look at the Estimates of the Amounts of Income Derived from the Drug Cartels's Activities:

The number of Estimated Deaths in Mexico is around 35,000 since the Mexican Government [foolishly] began a Crackdown on the Drug Cartels a few years ago, under President Felipe Calderon. The "Official" amount of Income from Cartel Drug and Related Activities is estimated to somewhere between $35 Billion [Yes, Billion with a 'B"! Surprise!] and $45 Billion. The Cartels are also thought to engage in Ransom Kidnapping, Murder for Hire, and a number of other Gruesome Services. No one can honestly say just how much actual Money is involved, because the Accountants for the Drug Cartels are not talking.

Now, you might ask yourself, "So what is this Dufus getting at with all this Informational Shit?" [Again with the "Dufus"? You ARE rude!] Well, think about this: It is believed that one of the Factors that has made Mexico so vulnerable to the influence of the Drug Cartels is the Crushing Poverty that exists there. In spite of the Shining Promises made prior to the signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement [NAFTA], little has changed in the Mexican Economy. While there is a claim that over a Million Mexicans are employed in the Export Assembly Plants, also known as "Maquiladoras," the actual amount of Income that they provide to the Workers, and Mexico as a whole, is in question. The "Maquiladora" Operators are accused of underpaying, failing to pay Workers at all, and of closing up many of the Plants and moving to places like Bangladesh, where Labor is even cheaper and no one pays attention to working conditions, or the Environmental Damage done by the Plants.

The result is this, Mexico is no better off now that before NAFTA. This has left the Door wide open for Groups like the Drug Cartels to move in, and provide income to People desperate for Money. [Eating is kind of nice] If the choice is between Eating, living Indoors, doing something illegal, and not Eating, not Living Indoors, and doing nothing at all for income, guess which choice wins? Lots of People are employed in the Business of Producing and Transporting Drugs [Primarily WEED, SMOKE, SPLIFF, GANJA, MARIJUANA, in this Case] to various Destinations throughout the United States, and all of North America. 

Now, think even harder [If you can!] about the implications for a United States Workforce scrambling for Jobs [other than the 50,000 "Good Jobs" McDonalds recently made a big deal over] and desperate for Income. Is it possible that Mexican Drug Cartels could gain a real Foothold inside the United States? Take a look at an Interactive Map produced by National Public Radio in 2009 [Yes THAT NPR!]:

Well, apparently the Cartels are already here! [Did we even throw a Welcoming Party?] The $45 Billion Question is: How long will it be before we start seeing the level of Violence here that is taking place in Mexico now? How do we know for certain that we are not already seeing that Violence being realized on our Lands right now? Is it possible that the Cartels are, as they do in Mexico, intimidating Media to ignore and under report their Activities? Are Federal and Local Law Enforcement Agencies being corrupted by Drug Cartel Money? And most importantly, what happens if the Economy gets much worse? Will more "Everyday Americans" [Like YOU, you Traitor!] start getting involved in the Drug Trade?

We do not have the answers to these questions yet, but these are clearly things to think about. Perhaps it is time to cut the Crap about the whole Illegal Immigration nonsense [leave the Poor Slobs alone that are coming here to Pick Vegetables and Fruits, work in Horrible Sweatshops and other Exploitive Jobs], and focus more directly on the Activities of the most Dangerous People crossing the Border, Drug Cartels? Only Time will tell.

He was part of a Group called Zaiko Langa Langa, a Group which contained a number of Transient Musicians, many of whom went on to fame as Individuals Artists, or with other Bands. It makes lots of sense, that near the one year Anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon Disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, that BP CEO [and All-Around Bland Sociopath] Carl-Henric Svanberg would attempt to explain away the Disaster that BP as something that happened after only 50,000 other "Holes" had been dug into the Floor of the Gulf of Mexico [ONE LONG SENTENCE!] I would Post some of the Quotes, but I think it's better Read in totality by someone with a functioning Conscience [something Svanberg obviously lacks]. Why Nudism/Naturism Is Going To Save The World - Follow Up

Yesterday, I wrote a long and Anything-But-Pedantic Post on Why Nudism/Naturism will ultimately save the World, if we are clever enough to embrace it. After receiving some private reactions, I thought I might post this brief "Follow Up" to actually see where many People are in their TOLERANCE of Nudity and/or NUDE BODY RELATED ISSUES.

So, what I am going to do, is Post some Links that may or may not offend you, if you are UNCOMFORTABLE WITH NUDITY, OR NUDE BODIES AND THEIR RELATED ISSUES. So, take a look at the Videos below, and I will offer some instructions after you have seen them [If you survive! WARNING NUDITY]:

Did any of the three Videos Shock you, cause you to Masturbate, or Inspire you to become a Physician, a Priest, or a Republican? If so, please re-read my original Post, then seek Psychological Help! These Videos simply contained relevant Information for Men and Women on how they might be Proactive in maintaining the Health of their Bodies. Any other Reaction or Interpretation or Re-Interpretation is WRONG! [In a sort of self-righteous and subjective manner, that is] The Videos were Instructive, and simply employed Nudity to provide the most accurate demonstrations of the Self-Exam Techniques being discussed.

Sooooooo, if you did have an UNENLIGHTENED REACTION to any or all of the Videos, here's what you do:

3. Write a Comment below explaining why Nudity Shocks you and why you believe that Nudity is an Offense again Man, Nature, and Creator [If this is your Belief].
4. Write a Comment below explaining why you think any instance of Nudity is nothing more than a 3D Porn Clip [If this is your Belief].

So, now I have helped those of you who were not convinced by my Initial Post to Enlighten Yourself to the True Nature of Nudism/Naturism. I expect to see at least a few bizarre [and entertaining] Comments in Response to points 3 and 4 on my TO DO LIST. In the meantime, and inbetween time, get Nude and Save the World!

Twitter Buying TweetDeck - So what?

Here is an interesting Story that is posted in Today's Guardian UK about Twitter [the Famous Waste of Time Posting Uninteresting Crap using 140 Characters or less of Boredom Company] buying TweetDeck [an even more boing Company]. Take a look at the Story:

My immediate question, again, is WHO CARES? How many People around the World actually have Investments at stake in either Company? I know that, from watching Television [at least in the United States] one might get the impression that everyone is a Day Trader or Corporate Magnate, but I have a feeling that this may not be true. I know for myself, I try and keep my Day Trades down in the . . . say . . . $0 to $0 Range each Day. [In other words, I am not Rich enough to INVEST] Oddly enough, I am guessing that few People reading this Post invest on a regular basis either.

Which leads to my less immediate [or "secondary"] question, WHO THE HELL ARE THEY PUBLISHING THESE STORIES FOR? I could just be totally cynical [How unusual for me!] and believe that they publish these Stories to make those of us without Millions and Billions of Dollars to invest feel inferior and/or worthless, but I am not convinced that this is the case. But, what OTHER REASONS could there be?

Is it possible that such Stories actually serve to encourage us to participate even more vigorously in the LIE THAT IS OUR WORLD GLOBALIST CAPITALIST PLANTATION? [Was that too strongly to the Left?] This, may have a bit more weight behind it, as my insane Theories tend to go.

Think about what the Tacit Message is from the Story. Is the Message, "Give up because you'll never be this Rich"? Or maybe, "Why aren't you doing this too?" Much of the Pop Culture Propaganda circulating throughout the World Centers on making the average Worker believe that they are missing out on the Great Joys and Orgasms of Life if they are not Rich, Selfish, and manipulating the Lives of Others. In reality, outside of bland and biased Studies done by Businessmen and Economists, there is not much evidence that the Rich are actually any more satisfied with their Roles in the Global Economy than the Poor Slobs actually doing the Work. It appears that the Propaganda is designed to stimulate your interest in working even harder [Is that possible?] to accumulate the crap that the Rich have.

Now, my last [or "tertiary"] question, WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN FOR ME? Not much. To be honest, I really couldn't give a fuck about who Twitter does or doesn't purchase, as long as it is not actually purchasing Human Slaves. [Are they doing that yet?] The transactions of the Rich and Famous [Fuck you, Robin Leach! - Remember him?] are of little interest to me unless they are stealing my Soup [I know that's coming!], or bending me over a chair [FIGURATIVELY] with some horrid Price Increase from the Corporations that they own.

I am hopeless, and a Lost Cause to these POWERFUL AND POTENT PEOPLE. And, as for the upcoming Royal Wedding, I hope some Hippies crash it and, Vomit on the Royal Wedding Cake. [Yes, I am mean]. TTFN. [I actually hate those abbreviations, but this one made my point so well]

Why Nudism/Naturism Is Going To Save The World

This is one of my Latest and Greatest Theories [Aside from my Belief that Donald Trump is an Alien from another Hideous Casino-Bad-Toupee Planet]: Nudism, sometimes also referred to as Naturism, will end all Wars, Racism, and other Competitive Aggressions. [Cool Theory, no?]

Nudism has a unique History, which actually has very little to do with the Perverse Notions [YOU SICKOS!] that People have about Nudists. While Modern Homo Sapiens [Yes, I believe in Evolution . . . Sorry] have been Nude on and off throughout History, the initial point at which People deliberately engaged in "Nudism" is up for debate [though many sites claim to have specific dates - which all disagree - what jerks]. However, here is a wonderful [Euro-Centric] piece on Nudist History:

As with most of our Recorded History, no one knew that they were "Properly Nudists" until some Europeans told them so. So, when the Gnostics paraded around, engaged in their Religious Practices in the Nude [they were actually a little like Orgies], they were not actually "Nudists." Later the Europeans corrected them, [and their "Unholy" Behaviors] and now there are published "Ideals" that Nudists/Naturists have been given by "Civilized" People:

Agriculture — avoiding unnecessary fertilizers and genetically modified organisms. Against factory farming
Medicine — should be natural if not entirely homeopathic
Psychotherapy — as a way of effecting personal changes
Rapport with other humans — equality and respect. An anti-war, pro-world government stance
Pedagogy — children should be respected as equals instead of being patronised
Spirituality — man is no more than an animal, and nudity has a place in religion.
Dress — nudism, as clothes are unnecessary, unhealthy and build social barriers.
Sports — to develop a healthy body.
Arts — should be to develop individual talents, not as a means of financial exploitation
Tourism — to understand other peoples' culture, concentrating on camping to remain close to the earth.
Liberty — no one has the right to tell others or their children that they must wear clothes.
Pollution — less clothing to manufacture and maintain means lower carbon footprint.

Not every Nudist/Naturist follows these Ideals Religiously. Most Nudists adhere to at least a few [they are all Nude, however]. These Ideals might constitute a "Hippie's Creed" to some, but to these Naked People, they are simply a Natural Way to Live. And, for the Dope Smoking Sex-Crazed Fiends who are looking for Naked Orgies, you will find Nudism/Naturism very disappointing. Since a Safe and Healthy Environment for Families, Public Sexuality IS NOT part of most Mainstream Nudism. Put those Sexual Appetites [and Sexual Toys] away! You ARE disappointed, aren't you? You should ashamed of yourselves!

These are the Grandiose Notions that most People [like YOU? . . . likely? . . . possibly? . . . potentially?] tend to carry about Nudists. So, here is the REAL ACTUAL ESSENCE OF MY THEORY. Nudism will save the World for the Following LOGICAL [Not Perverse] REASONS [In no Particular Order or Priority]:

• It is extremely difficult to be Angry with someone who is standing in front of you Totally Nude.
• It is next to impossible to conduct Wars with Totally Nude Soldiers.
• It is next to impossible to hide Weapons on one's Person when one is Totally Nude. [Don't over think this one!]
• It is next to impossible to hide Sexual Arousal when one is Totally Nude.
• Suicide Bombers are easily spotted when they are Totally Nude.
• Being that most People are Self-Conscious about their Appearance, Nudity might encourage many People to either become Comfortable with their Bodies, or Work Harder to Change them for the Better.
• If we were All Nude, we would see that others are just as Pathetic as we are.
• With everyone being Nude, that Perverse "Curiosity Factor" that causes some People to mindless pursue others, would be gone.
• If we were All Nude, one might think twice before getting a Skull [or something else equally bizarre] Tattooed on our Ass.
• A Nudist Workplace would be much more interesting, and your Deficient Boss [Guess where?]would hit on you a lot less.
• If we were All Nude, the Term "Slutty Clothes" would be moot.
• If we were All Nude, then Women would always know when a Man had brought a Condom with them on a Romantic Outing, or Gruesome One Night Stand.
• If we were All Nude, Religious Services would take on entirely new Dimensions [This is going to piss off some People for certain!].
• If we were All Nude, the Internet would have much less Porn, and lots more Information [This is really going to piss some People off!].
• If we were All Nude, Fashion would die, and we would All stand more equal in the World.
• If we were All Nudists, we would save Tons of Money by not having to buy lots of Clothes! [We would only cover ourselves to escape the Cold].
• If we were All Nudists ___________________________________ [Add your Contribution below in the Comments].

Now, I expect that many of you now want to BE NUDISTS. In fact, I am certain that my brilliant [I could be brilliant sometimes!] Theory has convinced you to shed your Clothes and be Free of Convention [or whatever that makes you "Free of"]. Some Stuff From Noam Chomsky From April 2011

For those of you who actually like to listen to someone who is both Intelligent, and Interesting, here is a Treat. It is 3 Part Series of Videos of a Speech by Dr. Noam Chomsky, a well known Political Activist [you know this already], and Super Famous Professor of Linguistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

If Intelligent Speech causes you to convulse and long for reruns of American Idol, then I advise you to avoid watching these Videos. Also, be aware that the Quality of the Sound in the Videos is not perfect. But even so, it is nice to enjoy the Wisdom that Dr, Chomsky bestows upon the Audience:

The Missing Stories about the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster

Perhaps I am just Dense or Developmentally Disabled [I am both], but I wonder why I no longer see numerous headlines about the HORRIFIC NUCLEAR DISASTER IN JAPAN? In spite of the Brave and Optimistic language used by Japanese and World Regulatory Officials BEFORE the Story disappeared from the Headlines, the Information seeping out is less than encouraging.

The Japanese Government says today [in a small print Story on CNN.com International Edition] that it will take Nine Months to shut down the damaged and leaking Reactors at Fukushima. Again, pardon my resounding ignorance, but who the fuck decided that Nine Months of leaking Radiation into the Atmosphere [the SAME ATMOSPHERE that I happen to live in] is okay with the Peoples of the World? At least one of those Reactors has Plutonium in it, [No, this is not a new Element discovered by Disney, it is one of the Deadliest substances known to Man], and I find the attitudes of the Japanese and World Leaders leave me a little . . . ANGRY.

It is odd to me that, when Civilians in Libya were apparently being killed by Fashion Nightmare Muammar Gaddafi [apparently, there are Billions of spellings of his name], the World Community responded with Planes, Missiles, Rhetoric, and Bombs. I know that this little Nuclear Disaster only threatens to eventually kill HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF JAPANESE PEOPLE, or maybe more, and potentially others around the World via the drifting Fallout, but could we at least get the same level of Response that we got for Gaddafi?

Is there maybe some reason why the Interest in the Japanese Nuclear Disaster has died down? Could it be that the Nuclear Industry has "Ramped Up" their Lobbying Efforts around the World? We all know that they put the Interests of People and Animals and Environment BEFORE PROFITS [Don't have a Stroke, I'm being Sarcastic], but could some wires have gotten crossed and sent them into a Lobbying Panic?

It seems that most of what Nuclear Industry Officials have focused on, is the potential Liability Exposures, and how the Bad Publicity is going the effect the Industry. I can see the reason for their concern. I can't see the reason why that concern has not been more for the effects on People, Animals, and Environment. [Are these Time Travelers from "SkyNet"?]

Please be aware that reading the entire Story in Business Insurance Magazine may induce a Coma. But, scan over it and see where the main points of the Story lie. Compare this, if you can, with the type of information being presented to the World by the Mainstream Corporate Media. Do they Match? [Oh, a Game!]

If this horrible thing that is taking place in Japan is killing People right now, then something should be done. Judging by the lack of detailed information coming from Japanese and World Nuclear Energy Officials, I have doubts that we can trust them to protect the interests of World Health and Safety without being PESTERED by we lowly Potential Victims.

So, here is my worthless and ignorant suggestion for what should be done. First, write to the Following People and tell them that you are completely dissatisfied with the Japanese and World Response to the Nuclear Disaster in Japan. Express all your concerns in non-threatening language [No mention of Guns, Takeovers, Kidnapping, or Revolution--that might get you a visit from some "Men With No Names"], and ask them how you can assist them in addressing your concerns. My Love of both Music and Pandering

Because I love both Music, and Pandering to those whom I wish to continually read my Blog, I will be exposing my Readers to Music they might not otherwise hear elsewhere. My Odd use of Capitalization and the Rules

Well, some of you may have noticed that I do not use proper Rules of Capitalization when I write. This has probably enraged many of you to the point of wanting to burn me at the stake. I am definitely not in favor of this, however. I actually have a reason for writing as I do . . . no I don't. I write in the manner I do for Dramatic Effect and Emphasis. It may occasionally [or always] make the Posts more difficult to read, but it does assist me in passing along the TRUE PASSION I FEEL [yawn] when I write.

The Rules of Capitalization were established over the course of History to facilitate a Language that would be more universally understood than Common Vernacular. Taking this into consideration, I decided to reject the Reasoning of History, and write however the Hell I want to. Since you cannot see my Face as I write, [luckily for you], I find that I need some way of passing along the oddities I experience while I am writing. After having tried and failed with Voodoo, Telepathy, and several other Methods too complicated to mention here, I decided to use quirky Capitalization, and "In-Text Asides" as a Method of sharing my Polluted Thoughts with you.

Satan Dies on Tax Day? - Follow Up

In a surprising move, the Interim Managing Council of Demons from Hell, has rejected noted Front Runner Richard Bruce Cheney [Dick Cheney] to replace Satan as Ruler of Hell. In spite of intense Lobbying from Officials representing the United States, the Council of Demons felt that Cheney was ". . . too Extremely Evil to be considered as a Replacement for a relatively Moderate Satan. Satan had watched Cheney's Career with Horror, and asked that he NEVER be considered for any Position of Leadership in Hell." No comment was heard from Cheney over this stunning rejection.
